iPhone 5S release date: Apple sends out colourful invitations to September 10 launch event

Apple confirms 'iPhone 5S launch event'

Apple has sent out invitations to a launch event on September 10 when it is expected to unveil the new iPhone 5S.
The California company sent out the colourful invites promising: ‘This should brighten everyone’s day.’

In true Apple tradition, the firm has yet to confirm exactly what the event will be, although many analysts have speculated the September arrival of a next generation iPhone for months now.

The invite-only event will take place at the Apple Store in Berlin, Germany, kicking off at 7pm.

It has been speculated the new iPhone 5S will be available in a range of different colours, possibly hinted at in the latest Apple invitation.

A budget iPhone 5C has also been tipped to be launched at the event, offering a cheaper alternative to the new model.

The iPhone 5 was unveiled at a press conference in San Francisco last year, a week after Apple had sent out invites for the event.

This year’s event will coincide with Berlin’s IFA show, where Samsung is expected to launch its new Galaxy smart watch.
