It's been previously mentioned that the iPhone 5S (or whatever Apple calls the new iPhone) will have an upgraded flash. Previous leaks report that the flash will feature a dual LED, which will greatly improve brightness and color balance in photos that require flash. These glass panels are reportedly from the back of the new iPhone 5S, and feature a pill shaped cutout for the camera flash, unlike the circular one we see today.
Even a larger flash would improve low light photos, but dual LEDs would each feature a different color, allowing for better color balance and photos taken with a flash wont have a washed out look. If real, we can expect to see these parts on fully assembled iPhones on September 10th, when Apple will be holding their annual iPhone event.
